Job summary

Advantage Technical in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter to support innovative engineering projects on a contract basis. You will create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, BOMs, and documentation while collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers and manufacturing partners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drafting or design experience, strong CAD skills in CREO/Pro/E/SolidWorks, and a solid understanding of GD&T and fabrication methods.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Design experience.
• Advanced proficiency with CREO, Pro/E, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, GD&T, fabrication methods, and design documentation.
• Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required for ITAR-related projects.
