Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Designer for an engineering project, focusing on CAD updates, BOM management, and ERP-based documentation control. You will create and revise 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks and ensure compliance with company standards.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain accurate documentation, manage part numbers, and support change requests, all within a manufacturing environment that emphasizes accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SolidWorks to create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Experience creating, updating, and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Experience working in an ERP/MRP system to manage engineering and manufacturing data.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assemblies, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop and update Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing and production use.
• Manage engineering documentation within ERP and document control systems.
• Ensure drawings, models, and documentation comply with company standards.
• Support engineering change requests and documentation updates.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and production personnel to ensure accurate product documentation.
• Maintain drawing records, part numbering systems, and engineering databases.
• Assist with design modifications, product updates, and project documentation as needed.
• Help improve documentation processes, workflows, and standards.
