Job summary

SAR Automation LP in Greer, SC, leads in automation and control systems for automotive OEMs and plastics processing. The role focuses on designing automation cells, end-of-arm tooling, and associated fixtures, with emphasis on 3D modeling and detailed manufacturing drawings, from concept through to customer buy-off.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years in robotics/automation, proficiency in SolidWorks, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical design technology or drafting is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of robotics/automation experience; four+ years for senior level with ownership of mechanical concept.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; ERP and MS Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and 3D models for automation equipment and tooling.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings with tolerances, finishes, welds, and callouts.
• Maintain SAR CAD library, templates, and standards.
