Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Lenexa, KS to create 3D models and drawings under guidance from engineers and designers. The role supports the Power district and requires collaboration with multiple design teams.

Based in Lenexa, this full-time position emphasizes quality, safety, and adherence to Kiewit's drafting standards while developing competence in piping layouts and construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or related degree.
• High School Diploma with relevant coursework/experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills.
• Create and maintain plan, diagram and detail drawings.
• Navigate and check 3D models for interferences and constructability.
• Resolve comments on checked drawings and implement changes.
• Prepare as-builts from RFIs, ECNs and red-lined drawings.
