Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) is a defense-focused innovator seeking a Mechanical Designer to create enclosures and packages for military systems with robust thermal management and EMI control.

Work with electrical engineers and software teams to ensure MIL-STD compliant designs, DFMA optimization, and precise production drawings. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in mechanical design of enclosures for military systems.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor) and DFMA.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD testing (shock, vibration, EMI, ingress).
• US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enclosures and packages for military systems, including thermal management.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and software developers to integrate mechanical designs.
• Ensure designs meet MIL-STD requirements and environmental tests.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and production docs.
• Support manufacturing and procurement.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation at customer sites.
• Must be able to lift and carry equipment.
• Stay updated with trends in military enclosure design and thermal management.
