Job summary

LJA Energy in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Designer II – Mechanical to develop mechanical, structural, and piping concepts for liquid terminals and related oil and gas infrastructure using 2-D and 3-D CAD tools. You will model, detail, document, and verify systems while maintaining company standards and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, strong CAD skills (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Cadworx), and proven collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in Mechanical Engineering or CAD.
• 3–5 years of mechanical, structural, or piping design experience.
• Strong CAD skills to model and detail complex systems.
• Experience in Oil & Gas in-plant piping is preferred.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical, structural, and piping designs for liquid terminals and related oil and gas infrastructure.
• Model, detail, document, and verify mechanical, structural, piping, and related systems.
• Create 3-D models showing relationships, dimensions, tolerances and materials.
• Ensure drawings meet department and company quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve design issues and meet deadlines.
• Prepare Bills of Material and support project documentation.
