Job summary
VAA LLC is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop and finalize construction documents in collaboration with Engineers and Project Managers. You will prepare piping isometrics, layout plans, sections and CAD details to established standards while coordinating with technicians and vendors.
The role involves client communication, RFI handling, and occasional site visits for measurements. A drafting certificate and HVAC/plumbing design experience are required, with proficiency in Revit 3D and
Qualifications
- Certificate in construction related drafting or related courses and at least three years of HVAC and plumbing design experience OR at least four years of HVAC and plumbing design experience
- Proficiency in Revit 3D and Plant 3D
Responsibilities
- Prepare complete construction documents with Engineers and Project Managers
- Create piping isometrics, layout plans, sections and details to CAD standards
- Provide direction and distribute work to Technicians
- Review and back-check the Technician's work
- Coordinate designs with team members and product vendors
- Communicate with clients and/or contractors regarding RFIs and field questions
- Attend internal and client coordination meetings
- May require travel for site observations and field measurements
