Job summary

Delta E Consulting seeks a dynamic mid-level Mechanical Designer or Engineer in Seattle to drive project success across multifamily, commercial, and hospitality sectors. You will design HVAC systems, perform load calculations, sizing, and layout, while advancing energy-efficient solutions and code compliance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
• Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• 2+ years’ experience with Seattle and WA building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for diverse project types across multiple delivery models (design/bid/build, design assist, design build).
• Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment sizing/selection, and layout.
• Communicate mechanical system plusses/deltas to clients and stakeholders in presentation format.
• Develop project specifications and perform site evaluations.
• Attend meetings with clients and project teams.
• Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
• Review submittals for product data and shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with contractors to find solutions.
• Establish design standards and criteria; prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and building codes.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents.
