Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Hollidaysburg, PA for a permanent, onsite role. You will drive mechanical design across the product lifecycle, using SOLIDWORKS to create robust, manufacturable solutions while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, and production teams.

You will own projects from concept to detailed design, mentor junior engineers, and progress toward senior engineering responsibilities based on performance and project ownership.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and 3D CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Onsite work in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead mechanical design efforts for custom equipment using SOLIDWORKS or similar 3D CAD software.
• Own projects from concept through detailed design and manufacturing support.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Create and update 3D models and engineering drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Ensure designs are robust, cost-effective, and producible.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and production teams on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, production, and operations to align design solutions with goals.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines.
• Interface with customers and sales to refine design solutions.
• Apply GD&T to define critical dimensions and tolerances.
• Contribute to project planning and mentorship in early career stages.
