Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct-hire position in York, PA. You will design mechanical systems, machine components, and custom industrial equipment, working with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to drive successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or Creo), with proficiency in fabrication drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in industrial equipment or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, machine components, and custom industrial equipment.
• Create 3D models, engineering drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for manufacturing and procurement.
• Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and design reviews to ensure product performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, service, and supplier teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Troubleshoot design and performance issues during assembly, testing, commissioning, and startup.
