Design custom mechanical systems from concept through production, performing CAD modeling and calculations according to client specifications. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of mechanical design experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks preferred).

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in mechanical design, with preference for rotating equipment experience (compressors, pumps, or generators).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Strong understanding of core mechanical design principles; experience with pressure systems or vessel design standards is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software experience is preferred.
• Clear communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create tailored equipment designs and perform engineering calculations based on client specifications.
• Draft detailed component layouts, design specifications, and product documentation for new and existing systems.
• Develop P&ID diagrams and integrate them into BOMs.
• Build precise mechanical models and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Process Engineering Change Orders and maintain engineering records for compliance.
• Provide technical troubleshooting on the shop floor and support production.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and field service on technical product details.
• Adhere to OSHA/SafeStart and support sustainable design initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to support off-site operations.
