Job summary

BLADE in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Designer to develop and implement complex components and integrated systems for military, government, and commercial customers. The role focuses on CBRN protection equipment and containerized systems, with 100% on-site work.

You will design with SolidWorks, lead engineering drawings and GD&T, and contribute to BOM maintenance while collaborating with engineers and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Design or Mechanical Design or equivalent experience.
• 43-5 years’ experience in similar technical role.
• Expert in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Expert in engineering drawing layout.
• Expert in GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Designs complex mechanical/electrical/electronic systems using SolidWorks.
• Executes engineering instructions for drawings and parts.
• Assembles prototypes and evaluates performance.
• Supports quality with inspection guidance for parts.
• Leads in applying best practices for drawings and GD&T.
