Job summary

Custom Fabricating & Repair, Inc. (CFR) is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the Engineering team in Marshfield, WI. The MD will ensure project managers and shops have the materials, equipment, and information needed to complete jobs, while aligning with customer goals and CFR interests.

The role requires 2–5 years in Mechanical Design, proficiency with Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and the ability to travel to site as needed. Competitive pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting or similar field required; Mechanical engineering degree considered.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks; AutoCAD experience.
• GD&T understanding; reading Piping & Instrumentation Drawings.
• Proficiency with PC, Windows, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Travel to site to familiarize with project(s) as needed.
• Review specifications and scope of work.
• Prepare and distribute submittals and pre-sale drawings.
• Create and maintain BOMs and design documentation.
• Interface with service, manufacturing, controls, and sales teams.
