Job summary

Creative Modular Construction is seeking a Manufacturing Designer / Draftsman in the Springfield, MO area. The role focuses on CAD modeling and drawings for CNC fabrication, contributing to project estimates, and supporting quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.

You will work closely with project managers, estimators, and fabrication personnel to ensure drawings, submittals, and documents align with contract scope and internal standards.

Job description

CMC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Designer / Draftsman to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting fabrication and production operations through design, drafting, project coordination, and technical development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, organized, collaborative, and eager to contribute within a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.

What You’ll Do

• Create CAD models, drawings and electronic files for CNC fabrication
• Develop submittals for approvalin accordance withproject contract scope, departmental Standard Operational Proceduresand Drawing Standards
• Assist with estimating takeoffs, mockup development, quality analysis, quality control, and value engineering efforts
• Maintain project schedules, documents, data, and organized project files
• Work collaboratively with project managers, estimators, operations teams, and fabrication personnel
• Attend scheduled project management, estimating, and operations meetings as requested
• Support development ofnew ideas, products, and process improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Understanding of construction industry practices and building systems preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Quick learner with a desire to grow and take on challenges
