Job summary

All Systems Electrical is seeking a Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This full-time role combines 3D CAD design, manufacturing, fabrication, and equipment assembly in a hands-on industrial setting.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both at a computer and in the shop. Overtime and travel are possible as part of project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong technical/problem-solving skills.
• Experience with 3D CAD software; Fusion 360 experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of measurements and measuring tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with common hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Industrial electrical or controls experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed 3D models using CAD/CAM software, primarily Fusion 360.
• Turn concepts into production-ready designs with sales engineering and management.
• Create design packages including 3D models, exploded views, parts lists, and documentation.
• Support fabrication and manufacturing activities as needed.
• Operate or assist with engraving equipment, laser cutters, and brake presses.
• Prepare materials for powder coating and assist with fabrication.
• Use hand and power tools to complete production tasks; track materials and production records.
• Assemble field control equipment and support other production needs.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Follow OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.

Requirements & Working Conditions

• Full-time,40+ hours per week.
• Overtime and occasional weekends may be required.
• Approximately5%–30% travel, including occasional overnight or extended trips.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in industrial environments.
• Ability to lift and move up to75 lbs.when required.
• Ability to work around machinery, electrical equipment, noise, and varying job-site conditions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.
