Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Lead for an innovative technology company developing advanced sensor systems. You will own mechanical engineering and hardware development from concept and CAD design through prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and field validation.

The ideal candidate will design rugged, precision sensor systems with LiDAR, cameras, GPS, IMUs, and onboard computing, tackling complex mechanical challenges across the entire hardware lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 0–5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience; strong hardware build record welcome.
• Proficiency with CAD modeling and mechanical design required.
• Understanding of assemblies, materials, and product development needed.
• Ability to develop prototypes and solve practical engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of sensor systems, enclosures, mounting structures, and product hardware.
• Create and refine 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• Develop sealed IP67-rated enclosures and mounting solutions for vehicle-based sensor systems.
• Perform thermal and vibration analyses and validate mechanical designs.
• Build prototypes, test hardware, identify design issues, and implement improvements.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing to prepare products for production.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Support assembly, integration, testing, and field validation of hardware products.
• Coordinate with electrical, software, and product teams to integrate components.
