Harris Company is seeking a Mechanical Design Intern for the Summer of 2027 to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. The role focuses on envisioning, designing, and delivering innovative mechanical solutions for HVAC and plumbing systems in construction and operation contexts.

You will gain exposure to other departments, perform detailed design tasks, and learn how your work impacts business outcomes across regional locations.

Qualifications

• Current student working toward degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, energy engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of low-energy, high-performance design for mechanical systems.
• Strong math, accuracy and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with envisioning, designing, and delivering innovative mechanical design solutions.
