Job summary

Emerson is seeking a student engineer intern in Texas to join our design, testing, and development activities. You will work in office and lab settings, applying engineering judgment to design and modify products, and participate in prototypes, testing, and design reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors, plus contributions to quality improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering; zero years of related experience; in United States eligibility; 40 hours per week in-person.

Responsibilities

• Work in both office and lab environments to support product design, testing, and development activities.
• Design or modify products using engineering judgment and company standards.
• Assist with prototypes, lab and agency testing, and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on technical matters.
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present test results, manage engineering changes, and support existing products.

Education

Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
