Job summary

Narda-MITEQ is seeking a Mechanical Designer Intern to join the Hauppauge engineering team. You will assist in designing and documenting mechanical components and assemblies, creating 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in Inventor, and supporting documentation throughout product development.

You will work under guidance to gain hands‑on experience in manufacturing, engineering documentation, and design changes, while building teamwork and professional skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software is required or highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models and assemblies with Autodesk Inventor.
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly docs.
• Update CAD models to reflect ECNs and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
