Hitachi Energy seeks a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to shape transformer technology through innovative design and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll convert customer specs into high-quality designs using 2D/3D tools, solve technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement for performance and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of experience, and familiarity with industry standards and pad-mounted transformer design.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, or similar 2D/3D modeling tools.
• Experience with industrial or engineering standards.
• Knowledge of pad-mounted transformer design (preferred).
• Familiarity with IEEE and CSA standards for distribution transformers (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering design activities.
• Create and modify drawings, Bills of Materials, and technical documentation.
• Lead and participate in design and customer specification reviews.
• Provide timely mechanical engineering support across teams.
• Support customer inquiries with clear, technically sound responses.
• Contribute to vendor qualification, new component development, and testing.
• Conduct analysis, design, and development work using 2D/3D tools for transformer products.
• Mentor and guide early-career engineering colleagues.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
