Job summary

EnTrans International in Tennessee is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and design new products and refine existing trailer lines. You will create drawings and BOMs for tank trailers and report to the local Engineering Supervisor.

The role combines independent work with collaborative teamwork on improving shop floor processes. You will apply DOT codes, model parts using Inventor (and AutoCAD), and manage items in the ERP system for trailer subsystems, reading and deciphering CAD drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar from an accredited institution.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (Inventor preferred).
• Some experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with shop floor process and product improvements.
• Assist senior engineers with process improvements within the department.
• Understand DOT code and how to apply to tank trailers.
• Use CAD system to create models and drawings for parts and trailer sub systems.
• Create and manage items and BOMs in ERP system for parts and trailer sub systems.
• Read and decipher AutoCAD drawings.
• Operate Inventor and Vault to create accurate drawings.
