Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years creating 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Experience designing components and large assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Experience using PDM systems for version control and documentation.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations to support design decisions.
• GD&T experience per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary engineering team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design lifecycle from requirements through manufacturing and integration.
• Develop 3D CAD models and drawings for components and large assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) to account for production needs.
• Perform engineering calculations to compare options and guide decisions.
• Collaborate with analysts, systems engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 in drawings and assemblies.
• Use PDM to maintain version control and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation per standards and customer requirements.
• Participate in design and peer reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Follow ATS policies for documentation, peer review, and configuration management.
