Job summary

Actalent in Cleveland is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design parts, drawings and large assemblies using SolidWorks, and to perform engineering analyses and simulations.

The engineer will support the production floor with design changes and collaborate with the testing department to develop protocols that ensure performance, manufacturability and ITAR compliance.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience in metal fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• US Citizens or Permanent Residents due to ITAR compliance.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical design experience with metals and fabricated parts.

Responsibilities

• Design parts, drawings and large assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analyses and simulations.
• Support production with design changes on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with testing to develop protocols.
