Job summary

Airloom Energy in Laramie, WY seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to transform concepts into production-ready SolidWorks models and drawings. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure DFMA alignment and GD&T compliance.

The role requires 2–4+ years of CAD/drafting experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and proficiency in SolidWorks with PDM; relocation assistance is provided, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant industry experience.
• 2–4+ years CAD modeling and drafting in hardware startup or manufacturing.
• SolidWorks GD&T and FPDM tools experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models of machined parts and assemblies.
• Generate fully dimensioned 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses for assembly fit and function.
• Maintain complex top-level assemblies with clearance checks.
• Manage BOMs and use PDM/PLM for revision control and ECNs.
