Job summary

HAHN Automation Group US, Inc. in Hebron, CT is seeking a mechanical design engineer to develop system designs using SolidWorks and related tools.

You will collaborate with project managers, electrical and software engineers, and manufacturing teams to create complete, manufacturable drawings and system concepts. The role requires 3–5 years of machine design experience, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3–5 years machine design/engineering experience, preferably in special machine industry
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and PDM tools in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Develop system designs that meet mechanical & customer requirements using SolidWorks
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Electrical, Software, Applications, manufacturing, and customers
• Prepare drawing packages for manufacture with complete documentation and standards
• Monitor budgets and schedules, and correct variances
• Provide technical support to customers and assist in testing/acceptance
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to design methodologies
• Attend training to maintain and sharpen technical skills
• Document design process and backup data for records
• Some travel, including potential domestic and international trips
