Job summary

Radical AI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and build robotic and autonomous systems for a self-driving laboratory pioneering material science research. You will own the physical manifestation of our technology: defining requirements and executing 3D design, prototyping, validation, and installation.

You will lead projects from concept to completion, using rapid prototyping and low-volume manufacturing, with designs that align with the Radical brand and interface with peripheral

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of industry experience in part, mechanism and large assembly design.
Expert proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and speed-focused design.
DFM and rapid prototyping (CNC, sheet metal, 3D printing) experience.

Responsibilities

Design solutions for complex material handling and laboratory automation challenges.
Communicate technical designs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences using 2D and 3D visualization.
Develop complex CAD assemblies to solve automation challenges.
Rapidly prototype designs and coordinate with vendors for fabrication and system integration.
