Job summary

Qualifications

• BSME, MS or PhD in a related engineering field.
• 2–4 years of mechanical experience in a professional setting.
• CAD skills and the ability to make high-quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards.
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with integration of PCBAs and other electronics into a mechanical system.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain US Security Clearance.
• Experience in immersive technical projects (collegiate projects or professional).

Responsibilities

• Own hardware design from initial requirements through hand off to high volume production.
• Lead efforts to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and establish verification methodologies for mechanical systems.
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop and optimize designs.
• Build prototypes, run analyses, and execute hardware test plans.
• Work on designs involving tight integration of thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling.
• Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations and capture feedback to refine requirements.
