Job summary

The role covers end-to-end design from concept to production, focusing on mechanical integrity, thermal performance and manufacturability for high-spec environments. You will deliver lightweight, robust designs and collaborate with RF/electronics teams to optimise mechanical impact on RF performance, while supporting prototyping, testing and documentation throughout the

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong 2D/3D CAD capability (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience designing high-precision assemblies in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of PCB integration, RF shielding and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and GD&T.
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design precision components and assemblies including enclosures, heatsinks, liquid-cooled systems and waveguide structures.
• Develop modular architectures for integration into larger system-level assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with RF, thermal, environmental and mechanical performance requirements.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks).
• Define materials, finishes and manufacturing processes aligned to performance and cost targets.
