Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical components for power electronics and electric drive systems. You will create Creo models, validate designs, and support manufacturing with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in mechanical design, experience with thermal/vibration analysis, and strong documentation. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible hires; relocation assistance may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years in mechanical design/product development, preferably in power electronics or heavy equipment.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies with Creo and CAD tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, validation, testing, and manufacturing support.

• Designs, develops, validates, and supports mechanical components and assemblies for power electronics/electric drive products using Creo.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and provide manufacturing and supplier support throughout the development lifecycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• Designs, develops, validates, and supports mechanical components and systems for power electronics/electric drive products, including CAD design (Creo), testing, manufacturing support, and cross-functional collaboration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using Creo, support testing and validation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive product improvements, and provide manufacturing and supplier support throughout the product development lifecycle.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years of mechanical design/product development experience, preferably in power electronics, electric drive systems, or heavy equipment industries.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Creo CAD design and 3D modeling
• GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Mechanical design and product development
• Design validation, testing, and troubleshooting
• Thermal and vibration analysis/testing
• Manufacturing processes and supplier collaboration
• Engineering documentation and change management

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Power electronics or electric drive systems experience
• FEA/CFD analysis (ANSYS preferred)
• Thermal management and cooling system design
• DFMEA, DVP&R, and reliability engineering knowledge
• Heavy equipment, automotive, or electrification industry experience
• Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
