• Design precision mechanical modules, assemblies, enclosures, fixtures, and packaging for electromechanical and photonics products.
• Develop 3D part models, assemblies, drawings in SolidWorks with tolerancing.
• Translate evolving requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Assess mechanical tradeoffs among structural performance, thermal paths, materials, interconnect routing, and optical alignment.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot prototypes and production hardware.
• Adapt designs based on test results, supplier feedback, and manufacturing constraints.
• Support DFM and DFA reviews with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Contribute to verification and qualification activities, including environmental and mechanical testing.
• Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and change documentation.
• Independently manage design tasks across engineering disciplines.
