Job summary

Hewlett Packard Co. in Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for high-volume PageWide press platforms.

You will create designs using HP’s CAD tools and coordinate with Customers, R&D, Operations, and Manufacturing to move ideas to reality. You will develop test plans, validate tolerances, and lead cross-functional teams through the development cycle from concept to manufacturing, ensuring quality and reliability in field use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 4-6 years of mechanical design experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware
• Develop and implement test plans including validation of tolerances and form/fit/function
• Lead and/or contribute to cross-functional multidisciplinary project teams
• Collaborate with management and external partners on design status and issue resolution
• Represent the mechanical design team through all phases of larger projects
