Job summary

Beckwood Press Company, headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of advanced manufacturing equipment.

You will design machine structures and powered motion systems, develop 3D models and manufacturing drawings, and support the integration of hydraulic and electro-mechanical components into complex machinery.

Qualifications

Design machine structures and powered motion systems.
Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
Generate prints for fabrication and machining per industry standards.
Perform FEA to validate designs.
Size and select servo motors and power transmission components.
Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis to designs.

Responsibilities

Design equipment structures efficiently with cost and time in mind.
Design weldments for machine frames or components for further machining.
Generate BOMs and upload to ERP system.
Set up and interpret FEA results to inform design decisions.
Collaborate with production, controls, sales, and service teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
Provide design reviews and incorporate feedback from peers and superiors.
Support service teams with warranty and non-warranty troubleshooting as needed.
