Job summary

Bartell Machinery Systems, L.L.C. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to advance product designs for the Tire & Rubber, Oil & Gas, and Wire & Cable industries.

You will design new products and redesign existing ones, interfacing with sales and customers to deliver cost-effective, high-performance equipment. You will apply current design techniques with a focus on accuracy of BOMs, safety and ISO compliance, and timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in machine design or industrial settings.
• AutoCAD and SolidWorks proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design new products or redesign existing products interfacing with sales or customers to develop leading edge designs and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Utilize current design techniques and tools to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.
• Designs and BOMs must be accurate with a zero-defect standard.
• Design projects must be completed in a timely manner while meeting safety and ISO requirements.
• Assist in commissioning and debugging of products and ensure designs remain properly revised.
• Review and approve requests for changes (NCPs/RFDs) and ensure products meet specifications.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, TSS, Sales and Purchasing as part of a team.
