Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Design Associate in Jacksonville, FL to provide engineering and design solutions for project deliverables. You will work with a design team to grow in mechanical engineering concepts and project delivery, using drafting software to support schedules.

The role covers conceptual and detailed design, code review, and development of construction documents, with opportunities across multiple projects and potential travel as required.

Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EiT/FE) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering degree required; NCARB/ABET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical and plumbing design for project scopes.
• Review codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA) to guide design.
• Create construction documents with sheets, details, schedules, and control drawings.
• Support project teams to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Coordinate with Project Associate/Senior Associate and owner representatives.
• Produce energy code compliance calculations and envelope details.
• Design, layout and sizing of air distribution and related equipment.
