Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong Creo design experience to support cross-functional teams in R&D and manufacturing.

You will develop complex 3D models, sheet metal parts, piping and wiring assemblies, and generate fabrication drawings through Creo 7.0, from concept to release. The role requires collaboration with internal and external partners, the ability to manage CAD data, and a proactive approach to design for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 1 year of product design experience preferred in a team-based environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field) required.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Must be able to travel internationally as needed.
• Must have experience with Creo 3D CAD for design/manufacturing.
• Experience with Creo modules for Piping/Cabling/Surfacing/Sheet metal/Assembly modeling.
• Experience with Windchill 12.0 is a plus.
• Structural Analysis experience is a plus (Ansys).
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Create designs for basic to moderately complex projects by applying engineering principles and design tools.
• Design parts/assembly/fixtures from scratch or with minimal instructions.
• Lead/participate in design reviews and technical meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare drawings for tooling and production release ensuring accuracy and conformity to standards.
• Familiar with Top-Down Design methodologies and model-centric design concepts.
• Maintain CAD data and ensure control of design files across projects.
• Provide sustaining engineering support including quality and product improvements.
• Travel up to 10% for international assignments.
