Job summary

Light & Wonder in Las Vegas is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical assemblies and packaging, analyze feasibility, and guide prototype fabrication. You will produce 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for product releases while applying engineering judgment to optimize performance and manufacturability.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, hands-on prototyping, and collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrates effective and efficient leadership skills
• Understanding of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required
• Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application
• Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes
• Basic Microsoft Office skills

Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for the Company's products
• Creates parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software with attention to weight, function, cost, and manufacturability
• Creates mechanical drawings, BOM information, and documentation for product release
• Evaluates prototypes and designs through assembly and test
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams across experience levels
• May determine approach on new assignments and may serve as team lead
