Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and analyze mechanical systems, packaging, and assemblies for our gaming products. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and cost targets. Leadership on projects may be required.

The role involves testing, prototype fabrication, and contributing to design documentation for product releases within a regulated gaming environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required.
• Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application.
• Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
• Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
• Creates parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software; uses knowledge to optimize function, cost and manufacturability.
• Produces mechanical drawings, BOM information, and other documentation for product release.
• Interacts with cross-functional teams and may act as team lead on new assignments.
