Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to lead mechanical design initiatives from concept through production. You will develop robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions while collaborating with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

You will create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo, and perform analyses (FEA/CFD) to validate designs under various conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical product design and development experience.
• Proficient with 3D CAD: SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
• Experience with FEA/CFD-based analyses.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Excellent communication and project management within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical products from concept to production.
• Translate requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings with CAD tools.
• Perform stress, vibration, thermal, and performance analyses.
• Plan verification, prototyping, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality and development processes.
• Produce and maintain specifications, reports, and manufacturing instructions.
