Acorn Product Development, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our design and engineering team. You will analyze, design and document electromechanical products advancing from concept to production while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering, 3+ years of design experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo. Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 is preferred and hands-on lab or shop experience is valued.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent degree required; MSME preferred.
• 3+ years of design and engineering analysis experience.
• Experience transitioning a complex electromechanical product from concept to production.
• Familiarity with designing molded, sheet metal and machined components.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (Creo a plus) and ASME Y14.5 documentation for production release.

Responsibilities

• Broaden your technical knowledge across disciplines.
• Identify requirements with clients and develop product solutions.
• Create detailed designs and documentation to meet objectives.
• Perform mechanical analyses across various domains.
• Collaborate with ID/UX teams to refine product designs.
• Interface with vendors for prototyping, tooling and production.
• Test and evaluate prototypes and first articles.
• Prepare project and technical reports; manage project activities.
