Job summary

Anritsu Infivis Inc. in the Chicago area near O'Hare is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to plan, design, and support product applications for North American sales with a focus on manufacturability, standardization, and cost control.

You will collaborate with inside sales, assembly, service, suppliers, and our Japan-based core technology teams to ensure accurate drawings, BOMs, and timely production releases, while maintaining high quality for food and pharmaceutical packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Four years minimum experience in a design/production environment.
• Experience in design for manufacturability, BOM accuracy, supplier coordination.
• Experience with UL, CE, OSHA, USDA, 3A, and sanitary design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and support product applications for North American sales.
• Develop standardized design platforms and reusable engineering solutions.
• Balance customer requirements with standard product platforms for shorter lead times.
• Serve as a technical liaison to obtain and deploy engineering information from Japan.
• Maintain accurate drawings, BOMs, spare parts lists, and project documentation.
