Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing/Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and sustain precision fixtures, pallets, and tooling used in camera manufacturing and active lens alignment processes.

The role covers design and sustainment of fixtures, nests, clamps, carriers, and locating systems; equipment upgrades; supplier collaboration; and leading design reviews for new manufacturing concepts to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing, automation, tooling.
• Experience designing precision fixtures and tooling for production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain precision fixtures, pallets, and tooling used in camera manufacturing.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and machine shops to fabricate fixtures and components.
• Lead mechanical design reviews for new manufacturing concepts.
• Support process development, pilot builds, and product launches, ensuring manufacturability.
