Job summary

gpac, assisting a growing Minnesota equipment manufacturer near Chaska, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys understanding how the entire machine works and moving beyond pure CAD work.

You will design and develop mechanical equipment, take projects from concept through testing and manufacturing, and collaborate across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems. On-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree required in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
• 2–10 years of engineering experience.
• Interest in machinery and complete-system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment and components.

A growing Minnesota equipment manufacturer is adding a Mechanical Design Engineer to its team. We're looking for an engineer who enjoys understanding how the entire machine works—not someone who wants to spend all day doing CAD.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the product-development process:

• Design and develop mechanical equipment and components
• Take projects from concept and calculations through design, testing and manufacturing
• Work with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
• Develop proto@types and new products
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues
• Create production-ready 3D models, drawings and documentation
• Work directly with manufacturing, suppliers and customers
• Help improve existing equipment and develop new ideas

You don't need to be an expert in every system.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who have designed machinery, equipment, vehicles, automation or other mechanical products and want to continue expanding their knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and complete-machine design.

Experience with agricultural, mobile, off-highway or heavy equipment is helpful, but not required.

A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred, along with approximately 2–10 years of engineering experience.
