Job summary

gpac, assisting a growing Minnesota equipment manufacturer near Chaska, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys understanding how the entire machine works and moving beyond pure CAD work.

You will design and develop mechanical equipment, take projects from concept through testing and manufacturing, and collaborate across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems. On-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree required in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
• 2–10 years of engineering experience.
• Interest in machinery and complete-system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical equipment and components.
• Take projects from concept and calculations through design, testing and manufacturing.
• Work with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Develop prototypes and new products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues.
• Create production-ready 3D models, drawings and documentation.
• Work directly with manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
• Help improve existing equipment and develop new ideas.
