Job summary

MicroRefrigeration Inc. is building next-generation datacenter cooling AI infrastructure solutions with proprietary compressed-refrigerant technology.

We seek a Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills and capital-equipment product release experience for a hands-on design role in Scottsdale. You will own mechanical design from concept through detailed design, BOM creation, prototype fabrication support, and formal product release, collaborating with thermal, electrical, and controls

Qualifications

• MSME/BSME/BSMET with ~5 years of mechanical design experience in capital equipment, industrial machinery, HVAC/refrigeration equipment, or related hardware products.
• Expert-level SolidWorks skills—complex assemblies, drawings, configurations, and PDM workflows.
• Demonstrated understanding of capital equipment product release processes, PDP, phase-gate/ECN, and design freeze practices.
• Hands-on experience with PDM/PLM for design data management and release.
• Comfortable building and fabricating equipment; shop environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
• Develop mechanical designs for refrigeration modules, cold plates, manifolds, and server rack integration.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles for prototype fabrication and production release.
• Manage design data in PDP/phase-gate processes and ensure proper BOM transitions.
• Support prototype builds in the Scottsdale facility and coordinate sourcing of components.
