Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design efforts for refrigeration components and systems used in industrial settings.

You will collaborate with fabrication, construction, and procurement teams to ensure high-performance, compliant, and efficient designs. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 2–5 years' experience in mechanical system design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of mechanical components and systems for refrigeration applications.
• Perform engineering analyses including thermals and tolerances.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and are well-documented.
• Provide drawings for review and coordinate with fabrication and procurement teams.
• Offer on-site and remote technical support during installation.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and input specifications into ERP.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate material specification and ordering.
• Communicate with vendors on part specs and manufacturing needs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
