Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Mechanical & Design Engineer in Maple Plain, MN. You will support manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, product development, and continuous process improvements from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities include CAD modeling, tooling design, troubleshooting, and maintaining engineering documentation. A degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required; candidates should be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Background in manufacturing, mechanical design, equipment engineering, or process engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Design tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment modifications to improve operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support repairs, maintenance, and process improvements.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and manufacturing launches.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and revision-controlled drawings.
• Conduct product and process testing and document findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
