Job summary

AMETEK STC in the United States is seeking a qualified engineer to apply a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical components, materials, finishes, and machine design to create robust designs, fixtures and subassemblies, and to support testing and validation through development and production release.

The role emphasizes design for manufacturing, Lean practices, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, tooling, and production teams to meet schedule and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field completed.
• 3–5 years of related engineering experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical design, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies and systems per project goals.
• Design components and fixtures using SolidWorks and provide guidance as needed.
• Develop prototypes, test plans, and support production release and qualification.
• Integrate subassemblies into prototype units and support product development and validation.
• Address nonconformance and drive cost-reduction through CAPA and changes.
• Collaborate with production to resolve manufacturing problems and improve throughput.
