AMETEK STC in the United States is seeking a qualified engineer to apply a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical components, materials, finishes, and machine design to create robust designs, fixtures and subassemblies, and to support testing and validation through development and production release.
The role emphasizes design for manufacturing, Lean practices, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, tooling, and production teams to meet schedule and cost goals.
In this role one will utilize a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mechanical components and related design principles, materials (including suitability properties, composition, compatibility, corrosion resistance and applications) finishes, plating and surface treatments, machine design (structural analysis, DFM, fluid mechanics, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems. Create component designs (machined, sheet-metal, castings, extrusions), Tester designs, VAVE projects and Process Improvements.
