Job summary

Actalent in Old Saybrook, CT is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development from concept to production release. You will own CAD work, perform analyses, create production drawings, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5 years of design experience, and advanced SolidWorks proficiency, with familiarity in PDM and 3DX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience in new product development.
• Experience in engineering calculations and design analysis.
• Familiarity with PDM and 3DX systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in new product development from concept through production release.
• Conduct engineering calculations and design analysis.
• Engage in design reviews and drawing review processes.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and tooling teams.
• Manage revision control and product release processes.
