Job summary

Ocean Aero Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and optimize mechanical subsystems for surface and sub-surface autonomous ocean-going vessels. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires familiarity with marine environments and robust documentation practices.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers to advance the Triton platform, leveraging experience in mechanical assemblies, testing, and documentation to support ongoing development and field operations.

Qualifications

• MS degree in engineering or related field.
• Ability to think independently to solve design problems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and pass screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, and Field Test teams to design, assemble, and document subsystems.
• Develop and maintain testing fixtures including pressure, fatigue, static load testing.
• Provide mechanical support for Testing and Fabrication Teams.
• Produce quality, well-structured documentation.
